Panasonic Conference Recording Speakerphone System
On the top of the unit is a large square textured area. This is the speaker. Its surface is convex.
On one of the four sides, just below the speaker is a smooth rectangular depression. This is the display. Below the display is a horizontal row of three this buttons used as function keys. Each key is used to select the function shown on the display directly above it. While the unit is in standby mode, “Play” is displayed above the left key to indicate that the key serves to play back recorded conversations. “Menu” is displayed above the middle key to indicate that it serves to program features. “Phone Book” is displayed above the right key to indicate that it serves as the phone book select key.
To the lower left of these keys, there is a large round button. This is the MUTE button. It also serves as the CLEAR button. To the right of this button is a horizontal row of four small round buttons. The left one is the STOP button. To the right is the VOLUME button used for lowering the volume, and the next button is also the VOLUME button used for raising the volume. The VOLUME buttons are used to scroll up and down through the function menu, or to enter the caller list as well. The rightmost button is the SET button.
To the right of these buttons is the telephone keypad. It is laid out in the conventional telephone arrangement with a “nib” on the 5 button. The * (star) button in the lower left corner of the keypad also serves as the TONE button. While playing back a recorded conversation, the lowest buttons are used as the Repeat button, the Pause button and the Skip button from left to right.
To the right of the telephone keypad are three round buttons in a vertical row. The top button is the FLASH button. Below it is the REDIAL/PAUSE button. The third button is a larger button. This is the speakerphone button.
On the four corners of the unit are textured protrusions. They are the microphones. There are IN USE indicators located in depressions above each microphone.
